Elliot | Newborn Lifestyle Session – Haylo Photo by Heather

Welcome back, my oh-so-lovely blog readers!

I love lifestyle sessions, and even more-so for newborns. We are able to document this moment in life, as is. There is more of a relaxed mood, the family is comfortable in their own environment, and if the newborn gets fussy or needs something, no need to worry because we’re at home! It’s so fun for me to document the nursery, all the new baby knick-knacks, gifts and more.

Today I’d like you to meet some very special people: baby Elliot and her older sister Emery, and their great parents! We met way back in Missouri, and then after we moved to Virginia, the did too! I love how the military life can be such a small world in itself even between branches. Well…when I heard that they were having another sweet bundle, I knew I had to photograph them. These two little girls have the best parents, and their lives are going to be so full of love, fun, and adventure. I am so happy to know them and excited to watch their family grow. Our shoot was completely adorable and I am overjoyed about the shots I was able to capture!

As you can see from the pictures, these little ones were so good during the session, and sweet baby Elliot is one of the most relaxed, peaceful babies ever! Emery was so sweet, and silly throughout our time. Becoming a big sister is a big deal and she is rocking it! I can’t wait to see how they interact as they grow older, no doubt they will have a beautiful sisterly bond!

Emery is so happy to have a younger sister, and she made sure I knew that was her baby sister! She loves to rub Elliot’s head and give her love. One thing’s for certain – baby Elliot will always have someone looking out for her!

I had to include this one because let’s be honest, when kids are done with pictures…they are done and Mama is totally taking it in stride and laughing it off. Finding joy in chaos is one of the best things we can do as mothers.
